Below is one of the famous cinquains of Adelaide Crapsy, the originator of cinquain.
I put it here as an example of this poetic form which I have recently started to experiment on.
Below is my translation of this poem in Aklanon. Of course, it is not in cinquain form as it is difficult to translate it in 2,4,6,8,2 structure.
TRIAD
These be
Three silent things:
The falling snow... the hour
Before the dawn... the mouth of one
Just dead.
***Adelaide Crapsy
Tatlo
Ro mahipos nga butang:
Ro gakahueog nga niyebe...ro oras
Bag-o magbuteak ro adlaw...ro bibig ku
Tawo nga bag-o eang namatay.
