Introduction

I sometimes find difficulty in composing Aklanon poem, especially the luwa because this needs rhymes.

To solve this, I compiled Aklanon words that have rhymes. My main source here is Roman A.De la Cruz.  Five-Language Dictionary (Panay Island); English, Tagalog, Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, Aklanon.  Kalibo, Aklan: Rock Publishing, c2003.  919p.

There really is a problem on how an Aklanon word is spelled especially the letters e and i, and u and o.

This is just an initial work.

Thanks to Libtong and Toryo for their contributions, Mila de la Rosa, …..

I am dedicating this work to my Parayaw, Pilma Dollolasa Cichon, and to our children and their families: Melchor D. Cichon, Jennifer, Sean Marie, and Sariah Kate; Vanessa Cichon-Mabeza, Ruel, and Ruvan;  Ranel Vincent D. Cichon, Apple, Shobe and …;  and Eugene D. Cichon, Mykha, and Xander.
